Description
NATIONAL TRANSIT INSTITUTE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL #3096 STATE AND METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PROGRAMMING (TPE13) Date for receipt of proposals : THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2016 by 2:00 PM (EST) The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to facilitate its existing State and Metropolitan Transportation Programming course. In addition, NTI may periodically request proposers to edit/update the existing course materials. NTI's State and Metropolitan Transportation Programming two and one-half-day course is designed to provide instruction on the basic concepts, components, and participants in the transportation programming process. Current and best practices are incorporated into the course presentation. The program covers the metropolitan and statewide programming processes including typical legal, political, and traditional process constraints, as well as aspects of local programming. Key topics include: •· Metropolitan transportation planning and programming •· Statewide transportation planning and programming •· Special factors in planning and programming development •· Programming methods •· Project evaluation •· Administering the transportation programming process •· Ingredients for a successful programming process The course is designed so that maximum input will be elicited from students. A high level of interaction is encouraged between the instructors and participants.
