- This is Sources Sought Notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice, and it shall not be implied the Government is committed to providing any solicitation or award following this notice. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any costs incurred in developing information provided. Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 19, Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) Denver VA Hospital is seeking qualified Veteran-owned small businesses that can provide the following: Performance Work Statement: Scope: "Request contract coverage for a base plus 4 option years: 1.Base year: October 9, 2016 to October 8, 2017 2.Option Year 1: October 9, 2017 to October 8, 2018 3.Option Year 2: October 9, 2018 to October 8, 2019 4.Option Year 3: October 9, 2019 to October 8, 2020 5.Option Year 4: October 9, 2020 to October 8, 2021 "The vendor representative shall bring its Microwave Ablation system to operate, monitor, and assist the VAMC Denver Radiology Interventionalist in guiding the antennas to the abnormal tissue and deliver the appropriate charge to ablate the affected tissue or mass. "Prior to use, the vendor is responsible for proper maintenance of the ablation system and shall coordinate the clearance of equipment safety checks with ECHCS BioMed Engineer. The vendor shall follow the Reuseable Medical Equipment (RME) guideline and other hospital policies associated with loaned equipment. "The vendor shall bring the appropriate types of accessories and antennas as trunk stock items. This is to include the proper amount of each item where the Interventionalist may determine the correct antenna for the each particular microwave ablation procedure. "The cost of service to include vendor operator time and operation of the Microwave Ablation system and rental fee. In addition, only the accessory items that were used are to be charge for the invoicing. However, each microwave ablation procedure shall not exceed a set amount per procedure. "Maximum purchase quantity is unknown. The number of microwave ablation procedures is determined by the VAMC Denver Radiology Interventionalist, and the vendor must be able to provide the service and products at his designation. "No money will obligated until needs are identified and an order is placed. "No initial stock will be purchased. No stock will be maintained at this agency. "All service and products will be ordered as needed for each individual ablation procedure performed. "Invoices should be available online. "Invoices must have the purchase order, must be itemized, and must be HIPPA compliant. Salient Characteristics: "Microwave ablation systems designed with multi-probe treatments which synchronize their ablation energy (instead of 3 individual energy sources between 3 probes acting individually) "Ablation frequency of 950 wavelength and internally cooled system "Ablation needles are echogenic allowing real time precise placement under Ultrasound or CT imaging guidance "Antennas can be placed as close as 1.5cm from each other without interference "Needles can be placed in different approach orientations "Needles are internally cooled "Technology can be used in nearly any organ system to achieve local tumor ablation. Responding companies shall include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming their ability to meet the service requirements in the Statement of Work and supply product with the salient characteristics outlined in this request. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
