This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, service disabled veteran owned small business, or veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists), Size Standard $11 Million. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FedBizOpps website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement separately, in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17, is seeking potential contractors to provide Emergency Medicine Physician Services. Emergency Medicine Physician Services will be funded and managed by the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) - San Antonio VA Medical Center, 7400 Merton Minter Ave., San Antonio, TX 78229. The contractor shall furnish all personnel to perform onsite Emergency Department Physician Services to eligible beneficiaries of STVHCS. The contractor shall be responsible for providing 30 emergency medicine physicians to be credentialed and be available for scheduling. Schedules at a minimum shall consist of: 2 physicians (double coverage required) Monday-Friday from 1900 - 0700. These hours may be schedule in 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts to include Federal holidays. 4 physicians (double coverage required each timeframe) Saturday and Sunday 0700-0700. These hours may be schedule in 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts to include Federal holidays. Services shall be billed at a per hour rate. It is possible that the resultant solicitation may be awarded to multiple vendors. The intended contract period will be for a one-year base period and four optional one year periods. The contract effective period is anticipated to begin on or about March 1, 2017. Interested parties capable of providing the required services please provide the following information in your response: company name, address, point of contact (Name, Phone Number and e-Mail address), size of the business (large, small) and socio-economic status (Service Disabled Veteran, Veteran, Women or Disadvantaged owned business). All vendors/contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management - www.sam.gov - to be eligible for any government contract. All VOSBs, including SDVOSBs, must be verified in the VetBiz.gov Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database, available at www.VetBiz.gov, to be eligible for any government contract. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to the attention of Sandy Archuleta, Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17, Sandra.Archuleta@va.gov. Telephone, mail or fax responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than September 9, 2016 at 4:30 PM CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. The solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date and all interested vendors must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
