- SOUCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY This is a sources sought announcement ONLY and is NOT a request for proposals or quotes. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NACIS 339112, Federal Supply Code 6515. This synopsis is for the acquisition of a catheter to be used for treating blockages in the arteries to the lower extremities. It will allow our catheter lab to provide enhanced services to veterans with lower extremity claudication and critical limb ischemia (rest pain, ulcerations, and gangrene). Currently, we are aware of the CSI Predator Catheters that are plaque excisions systems that actually removes the obstruction (plaque). This unique device is capable of removing significant amounts of plaque without overstretching the artery, which can cause barotrauma. This catheter is used with a specific type of obstruction in the artery, which is a determination made by the physician. By removing the plaque, the CSI Predator catheter creates an open channel for adequate blood flow. The Government intends to award a sole source to Cardiovascular Systems Inc. (CSI) as the sole manufacturer and supplier of this technology for use in specific types of arterial blockage and that provides orbital atherectomy to treat outflow and runoff disease of the lower extremity (peripheral arterial disease) especially in the small vessels below the knee. Also, this technology is designed to treat very tight lesions in small vessels. Delivery is to be Upon Request to the Denver Veterans Administration Medical Center, in Denver, Colorado 80220. These supplies are ordered only when the supply is used and needs to be replaced. For this reason, it is anticipated that the vendor will provide a short delivery time. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. Companies that can provide an equal product must submit their technical capabilities to include the technical specification of their product, past performance information, price and delivery time. The information submitted will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for considering future requirements. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of company, Dun & Bradstreet number, business size, and any other pertinent information that demonstrates firm's ability to meet the above requirement. Submit capability packages no later than Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 12:00 PM, MST by email to jacqueline.obryan@va.gov.
