SYNOPSIS: The VA Long Beach Healthcare System has a requirement to UPGRADE Electric Utility for Medical Diagnostic Equipment, Building 164 ER. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction award is anticipated. A certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) / Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) contractor shall provide all design, equipment, labor, materials, parts, supervision, tools, and construction services as required by the solicitation request and statement of work. Work includes but is not limited to design, general construction, archeological exploratory, site preparation, removal of existing structures and equipment, utility systems, mechanical and electrical work, engineering calculations, testing / certification, and other elements / items as required. Work will be performed in/around a functioning hospital environment, which will remain operational during the project duration. Solicitation documents will be available electronically on/about August 26, 2016 at the following website: www.fedbizopps.gov. Bidders will search for solicitation VA262-16-Q-1416 to access solicitation documents and any Amendments. BIDDERS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. A public bid opening will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 2:00PM PST local at the NCO 22 address stated in the solicitation (4911 Airport Plaza Drive; Long Beach, CA 90815). Only hand delivered or mailed sealed bids will be accepted. Only one organized Pre-Bid Conference / Site Visit / Job Walk will be held; date/time/location as provided in solicitation. NAICS: 541990; Small Business Size Standard: $15 Million; Project Magnitude: Between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 USD. Contract Completion Time will be 90 Calendar Days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must be registered and verified by the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) (www.va.gov/osdbu), Vendor Information Pages (www.vetbiz.gov), and must be registered and current with the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov). This acquisition is solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) / Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) Set-Aside program. The single source of entry for all documentation / information pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov.
