- AE2100D3 Engine J&A, Redacted This notice is prepared in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.207 and is not a request for quote/proposal (RFQ/RFP). HSCG38-16-Q-301010 is assigned for tracking purposes only. This is a notice of the Government's intent to award one (1) requirements-type contract with firm-fixed prices to Rolls Royce Corporation, Indianapolis, IN on a sole source basis for the Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) support for the AE2100D3 engines used on the Unites States Coast Guard's fleet of HC-130J aircraft. These services are commercial in nature IAW FAR 2.101 and as such the procedures specified by FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and Subpart 13.5, Test Program For Certain Commercial Items, will be followed. The Coast Guard intends to award one (1) contract consisting of a nine (9) month base period with one (1) three (3) month option period, not to exceed one (1) year in duration. The period of performance is estimated to begin on or about (OOA) 26 September 2016 through 26 September 2017, if the option is exercised. The NAICS code is 336412 and the size standard is 1500 employees. Set-aside: Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, under the authority of the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA), 41. U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B). The Contracting Officer has determined that there is not a reasonable expectation of obtaining offers from two or more responsible small business concerns therefore the small business set-aside is dissolved. This requirement is unrestricted. Anticipated date of Award: OOA 21 September 2016.
