- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a sole source fixed-price additional work modification to Washington Occupational Health Associates (WOHA). Services are for a six (6) month extension under Contract W912HQ-11-P-0228, which include acting as Medical Advisor to the Chief of Engineers; performing evaluations of Division/District Occupational Health Programs; reviewing USACE employees emergency Response Medical Screening Questionnaires for civilian deployments in response to Civil Emergency Operations; providing medical and public health advice and guidance during an identified health threat; reviewing and providing comments on Occupational Health policy and regulations; and responding to a variety of occupational health questions/inquiries as needed. The period of performance is from 27 September 2016 to 26 March 2017. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.201 and FAR 13.106(b)(1). The purpose of this extension of services to the incumbent contractor is to maintain continuity while soliciting and awarding a new contract (estimated to be one base year and four option years). Services must continue to be provided to ensure there is no break in the USACE mission. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting officer within 15 days of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USACE will proceed with awarding a fixed price contract to WOHA. Point of contact for this requirement is Sarah Lugo at sarah.r.lugo@usace.army.mil
