Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City office intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Novalynx Corporation for twenty (20) Totalizing Anemometers for Cooperative Observer Program for the NOAA National Weather Service Office of Operational Systems located in Silver Spring, MD. A Sources Sought notice was posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on July 20, 2016 and closed on August 4, 2016. No responses were received. Justification for Sole Source The spare assembly being purchased is manufactured solely by Novalynx Corporation located in Grass Valley, CA and is the only source of this part due to the proprietary nature of this product. All logistical spares for the Cooperative Observer Program are required to be identical to the item that was provided with the original equipment.
