Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego “ Seal Beach Detachment intends to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13 to ANSYS Inc., 2600 ANSYS Dr., Canonsburg, PA 15317. The proposed contract action is for the annual licensing and maintenance service contract for two currently owned AQWA Suite with Coupled Dynamics software products on the NFESC AQWA desktop and laptop computer systems for 15 September 2016 through 14 September 2017. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The proposed contract action is for the ANSYS AQWA SUITE with Couple Cable dynamics “ TECS. ANSYS Inc. It is the only authorized source for providing maintenance for 2 AQWA software packages maintained on 2 authorized NAFAC EXWC computer systems. The current AQWA Suite with Coupled Cable Dynamic software products on the NFESC AQWA desktop and laptop computer systems required maintenance service to access to customer service to answer technical and administrative questions about the software capabilities, functions and/or malfunctions. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement via e-mail to milagros.halstead@navy.mil. Requests must include company name, address, POC name, telephone number, CAGE Code, DUNS number, NAICS code, applicable business size, and Tax ID number. Responses are due by 23/ August 2016, 12:00 PM, Pacific Time. If no responses are received, FLCSD-Seal Beach will proceed with the sole source award.
