- Description
- Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Ft. Bragg, NC, has a requirement for Oncotype DX Breast and Colon Cancer testing to perform complex low volume genetic testing for the Department of Pathology, WAMC Ft Bragg, NC. The genetic marker panels must be multigene cancer assay and must incorporate 3 major clinical guidelines: National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the St. Galleon Consensus guidelines Oncotype DX testing. The testing shall not require 'fresh unprocessed perishable tissue'. The test shall be CLIA approved. The testing shall be performed on formaldehyde/formalin and/or wax embedded tissues and must measure 21 gene expression to include ER, PR and HER2 gene expression for prognostic and predictive value in FFPE blocks or sections by qRT-PCR and microarray technology. Testing shall be performed at the contractor's clinical reference laboratory and shall provide appropriate facilities, personnel, services, transportation, materials, equipment and supplies required for performing testing. The contractor shall ensure all testing and supervisory personnel at all contractor-owned, affiliate, or subcontracted laboratories assigned to work under this contract meet and maintain the applicable personnel qualifications set forth under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) of 1988 regulations, the College of Americasn Pathology (CAP) accreditation standards, or other accrediting organizations and State standards as they apply to specific test requests.
