- ***This solicitation is being amended to clarify the needed colors for these items. Please see under CLIN 0001 for requested colors.*** The 212th RQS operators require durable protective gear for operations in the wide variety of Alaskan weather conditions, to include below-zero temperatures, blizzards and wet and windy conditions. This jacket must allow for operations in all environments in support of 11th Air Force Search and Rescue (SAR) alert. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All items below are brand name or equal. If quoting "or equal" items, please include all physical, functional and performance capabilities. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside, NAICS 315210. The Government has the right to award all, some, or none of the line items listed below. Please provide a reasonable delivery date, cage code, and tax identification number with your quote. 0001 - (60) EA- MFR:PATAGONIA; Men's Nano Puff Hoody or equal Must have the following salient characteristics: - must utilize highly compressible synthetic fill such as 60-g PrimaLoft Gold insulation (or equal) which must be capable of maintaining 96% of warmth when wet - must be treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) to shed moisture and employ a brick quilting pattern for abrasion resistance - Color: Can be a mix of colors. Must be bright colors, as rescue personnel must be visible to pilots during harsh and low-light conditions. Order of preference is Orange (Patagonia's Sporty Orange (SPTO)), Red (French Red (FRR)), Green (Peppergrass Green(PSS)), or Blue (Underwater Blue (UWTB)) or equal colors - Sizes: Small x3 Medium x17 Large x32 X-Large x8 0002 - (1) EA: Shipping to JBER, AK 99506 Please include shipping directly to Anchorage AK 99506. Firms that believe that they can provide similar required items must provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer. This announcement constitutes the only written notice. Basis for award will be the best value to the Government. In accordance with FAR 52.212-2, the Government will award a contract/purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following evaluation factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical (item specifications) and Price.
