Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation NNK16597399Q is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) has a requirement for one (1) each new 17,500 lb. capacity forklift truck. Any brand name or equal to Linde H80D/1100, will be acceptable, with all of these salient characteristics: Transmission: Hydrostatic Capacity: 17,500 lbs. Engine: Turbo charged, direct injection Fuel type: Diesel Tires: Counter Balanced Pneumatic, Solid, 15" Mast: Dual, with lift no less than 146" Forks: Length: 96", Width: 8" Positioner / Side Shift: 86" wide pin type side-shifting Controls: Individual Levers Lights: Headlights and Amber Warning Delivery of the fork lift shall be thirty (30) days after receipt of order. Interested organizations may submit their written quotation to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 PM EST on August 31, 2016. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Part 13 by issuing a firm fixed price contract. The provisions and clauses those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-89. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code and small business size standard for this procurement are 423830 and 500 employees, respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA KSC. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by 08/31/2016 1630 EST to NASA KSC and must include: 1. Solicitation number 2. FOB destination to this Center 3. Proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms 4. Warranty duration (if applicable) 5. Taxpayer identification number (TIN) 6. Identification of any special commercial terms, and 7. Signed by an authorized company representative. Offerors are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL:.http://server-mpo.arc.na sa.gov/Services/NEFS/NEFSHome.tml The FAR may be obtained via the Internet at URL: http://www.acquisition.gov/far/index.htm l The NFS may be obtained via the Internet at URL: http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/procurement/regs/nfstoc.htm All contractual and technical questions must be in writing e-mail to rose.a.dougherty@nasa.gov no later than 8/25/2016 11:00 a.m. EST. Telephone questions will not be accepted. Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Technical acceptability will be determined by review of information submitted by the offeror which must provide a description in sufficient detail to show that the product offered meets the Government's requirement. Offerors must include completed copies of the provision at 52.212-3 (AUG 2013), Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items with their offer.
