Description
U.S. Government Summary: The USDA Forest Service is seeking an Expression of Interest to lease 2,500 Usable Square feet of Storage space in and around Mars Hill, NC. U.S. Forest Service (FS) seeks to lease the following space: State: NC City: Mars Hill Delineated Area: Location of storage facility shall be within a 10 mile radius of 632 Manor Road Mars Hill, NC. All properties touching the border of the delineated area, Including surrounding cities, shall be considered. Minimum Sq. Ft. (ABOA): 2,500 Maximum Sq. Ft. (ABOA): 2,500 Space Type: Detached Garage Parking Spaces (Total): 0 Parking Spaces (Surface): 0 Parking Spaces (Structured): 0 Parking Spaces (Reserved): 0 Full Term: 1 years Firm Term: 1 years Option Term: 90 days Additional Requirements: Space must have electricity, running water and be able to house 6 fire engines, 2 F550 type, 4UTVs, 2 ATVs, and additional supplies Storage space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. A fully serviced lease is preferred, but not required. Offered space shall not be in the 100 year flood plain. The U.S. Government currently occupies a garage and related storage space in a building under agreement in Burnsville, NC, that will be expiring. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government, will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
