This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential small businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: 1.Company Name 2.Address 3.Point of Contact 4.Phone, and e-mail 5.DUNS number 6.Type of Small Business 7.A capability statement or Product specifications The VA National IT CMOP Office is seeking a Small-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or an Veteran-Owned Small Business(VOSB) that is able to provide a warranty renewal for Spectralink 6000 Portfolio Platinum Handset Support, including: SPECTRALIN K 6000 PORTFOLIO, PLATINUM HANDSET SUPPORT. INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT ADVANCED REPLACEMENT, TECHNICAL SUPPORT PRIORITY RESPONSE INFRASTRUCTURE WARRANTY RENEWAL FOR SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE MAINTENANCE FOR SPECTRALINK UNITS LOCATED AT TUCSON CMOP, DALLAS CMOP, CHARLESTON CMOP, AND CHELMSFORD CMOP. INCLUDES PARTS REPLACEMENTS, ACCESS TO HIGHER LEVEL ENGINEERING EXPERTISE FOR RESOLUTION OF COMPLEX TECHNICAL PROBLEMS. MAINTAINING THE OPERABILITY AND USABILITY OF THE SOFTWARE BY FIXES TO BUGS VIA PATCHES, UPDATES, OR UPGRADES. Period of Performance: 10/01/2016-09/30/2017 FY17 RENEWAL WILL COVER A TOTAL OF: 5 CMOP SITES CUID BY LOCATION: S-307417 LEAVENWORTH S-304607 TUCSON, AZ S-312708 LANCASTER, TX S-306426 CHARLESTON, SC S304750 CHELMSFORD, MA HANDSETS, MASTER CONTROL UNITS AND BASE STATIONS AT EACH LOCATION. Infrastructure Warranty Renewal on a Product. The Contractor shall provide the following: 1. Parts Replacement: Wireless Infrastructure Products and Wireless Telephones and chargers a. Expedited replacement of covered, failed hardware parts 2. On-Site Support: Wireless Infrastructure Products - Next Business Day support a. For infrastructure issues that cannot be resolved remotely, vendor will use reasonable commercial effort to provide next business day on-site response by technical engineer to resolve the issue during business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding national and local holidays. 3. 24x7 Telephone Technical Support. Provide access to expert technical support engineers who will assist in solving infrastructure issues by phone. 4. Wireless Telephone Support a. Provide access to parts replacement (RMA) support and expert technical support engineers who will assist in solving issues by phone. 5. Software Support - For a product. (Not Software Maintenance). Provide software updates for then-current registered software 6. Escalation Support Provide access and involvement of higher-level engineering expertise for resolution of more complex technical problems 6. Software Maintenance as a Product is billed at the time of purchase. Software maintenance as a product is used for the purpose of maintaining the operability and usability of the software product by utilizing published fixes to bugs via patches, updates, or upgrades. Software maintenance as a product is now found under Period of performance is 10/1/2016 to 9/30/2017. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334614 (750 employees). All offerors are to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) located on the web at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/, and need to be registered Vendor Information Pages (VIP) located on the web at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/Default.aspx?SCID=2628886. After review of the responses to this announcement, the Government intends to proceed with market research.
