PRE SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR VA786-16-R-0385 PRE SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR MULTIPLE SMALL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT MASSACHUSETTS NATIONAL CEMETERY, LOCATED OFF OF CONNERY AVENUE, BOURNE, MA 02532 Project Control #: 818-M&R 16-03 Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material and supervision necessary to perform various small construction projects at multiple buildings located on Massachusetts National Cemetery, Off of Connery Avenue, Bourne, MA 02532. Magnitude of Construction: Between $250,000 and $500,000 RFP VA786-16-R-0385 - Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material and supervision necessary to: "Strip existing paint & repaint "Remove and replace air bladder tanks "Demolish electric panel and refeed remaining panel; replace all breakers "Provide and install unit heater "Replace two overhead doors including new automatic operators; replace three automatic door switches "Demolish unit heater and all associated piping, conduit, controls "Demolish and Install 12 new LED wall pack light fixtures; provide new circuit; install photocell "Install 7 new LED flood light fixtures; provide new circuit; install new photocell "Install 6 interior high bay light fixtures "Install 1 new circuit with 3 new duplex receptacles; run surface mounted EMT conduit to surface mounted stainless boxes "Replace 2 electrical yard box covers with tier 22 rated Quazite covers (or approved equal) "Replace cracked section of sidewalk, approximately 6' x 8'. Provide 5" thick concrete sidewalk slab. "Demolish and replace 1 granite panel, approximately 3' x 5' x 3' thick in size "Demolish and replace area of asphalt paving approximately 40' x 4' x 3" thick adjacent to the concrete sidewalk "Replace cracked section of sidewalk, approximately 8' x 16'. Provide 5" thick concrete sidewalk slab. "Replace winch, truck, all stainless steel hardware, and cables for existing 90' tall flagpole "Install 2 new LED flood lights at ground level for flagpole illumination "Install exhaust fan or fans in men's and women's restrooms; 2 total "Installation a manual sliding vision panel approximately 58" x 52" with manual interior locking mechanism "Demolish 8 interior CFL fixtures located 20' AFF in lobby "Demolish and remove 2 project trailers "Install new commercial automatic power door including all necessary components "Repair 14 storm drain inlet manholes "2 asphalt patches approximately 3' x 3' & 1 asphalt patch 10' x 3' "Caulk joints between asphalt and concrete walkway approximately 70' in length "Construct irrigation system to fully integrate in Burial section 30A. Minimum of 8 sprinkler heads; irrigation piping shall be a minimum of 2" mains with 1.5" laterals; provide 1 new valve; use Hunter products, or approved equal, to match existing "Construct irrigation system to fully integrate in Burial section 43A. Minimum of 15 sprinkler heads; irrigation piping shall be a minimum of 2" mains with 1.5" laterals; provide 1 new valve; use Hunter products, or approved equal, to match existing "Demolish and replace existing 3 fuel storage cabinets. New cabinets' dimensions shall be (1) H 65" W 43" D18" (1) H 44" W 43" D18" "Install 6' tall chain link fence with single main gate; chain link fence shall be black PVC coated in its entirety; the fence area is assumed as 12' x 15'; posts to be buried in concrete "Repair & Replace irrigation wiring in burial sections 4, 4A, 5, 6, 6A, 7, 7A, 9, & 9A "Replace 6 curbside fire hydrants "Install 1 LED floodlight to illuminate the Eternal Flame Duration: Term of the contract shall be one hundred and eighty (180 days) from receipt of the notice to proceed. The Contractor shall complete all work within 180 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed, subject to all terms, conditions, provisions and schedules of the contract. All proposals priced greater than or equal to $150,000 will require: Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Bid Guarantee for this solicitation. This acquisition is for a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 238210 is applicable. Please reference Solicitation Number RFP VA786-16-R-0385 on remittances. An electronic solicitation will be available for download from www.FedBizOpps.gov on or about August 22, 2016. Responses to the solicitation are due to the Vendor Portal by 4:00 p.m., September 6, 2016. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to the solicitation which is available at Fed Biz Opps.
