This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential small businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: 1.Company Name 2.Address 3.Point of Contact 4.Phone, and e-mail 5.DUNS number 6.Type of Small Business 7.A capability statement or Product specifications The VA National IT CMOP Office is seeking a Small-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or an Veteran-Owned Small Business(VOSB) that is able to provide an extended warranty for Data Security Inc. Degaussers, including: This would include deguassers at locations listed below with their respective Serial Numbers: TUCSON S/N 53-1038 HINES S/N 53-1367 LANCASTER S/N 53-1366 CHELMSFORD S/N 53-1365 LEAVENWORTH S/N 53-1368 MURFREESBORO S/N 53-1369 CHARLESTON S/N 53-1364 There is also need for 2 certified test strips for each location. Period of performance is 10/1/2016 to 9/30/2017. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334614 (750 employees). All offerors are to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) located on the web at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/, and need to be registered Vendor Information Pages (VIP) located on the web at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/Default.aspx?SCID=2628886. All interested offerors should submit their qualifications by email to: Kevin.Mahoney3@va.gov no later than August 24, 2016 at noon CT. After review of the responses to this announcement, the Government intends to proceed with market research.
