Description
GATES 5 and 5A QUESTIONS (8-22-2016) For Gate 5 and 5A Clearing: 1. Question: Are any permits required from the city of Jacksonville? Answer: No permits are required. 2. Question: Do we need to supply site specific Health and Safety Plan? Answer: Upon award, the Contractor will provide the Government a copy of the company safety plan that governs the employee s actions. 3. Question: If palm trees stay, do they have to be skinned smooth to 20 ? Answer: All palm trees that remain will be skinned to 20 or to the first live branches, whichever is less. 4. Question: Do we need to provide a portolet for the project? Answer: It is the Contractors responsibility to provide the necessary facilities for their employees. Use of Government facilities by Contractors is generally not permitted. 5. Question: Is there a determination on cutting of trees that may not be fully in the 5 cutting zone, i.e. if a tree is only 2 into the 5 zone does it get cut? Or is it, if it s over half of the trees diameter in the 5 zone, then it gets cut? Answer: If 50% of the diameter of the tree at the base of the tree is within the 5 zone it will be removed. Trees that remain and are leaning over the fence will be trimmed as required to remove the ability to be used to scale the fence. 6. Question: Please confirm the due date. Answer: Submission date is extended to 29 August 2016 3 p.m. (EST) 7. Question: Since it is a wage rate project, do we need to supply certified payroll? Answer: The Contractor is not required to provide certified payroll. The Contractor is responsible to operate in accordance with the applicable wage rates for the occupational skill per Department of Labor requirements.
