- This purpose of this amendment is to notify all vendors of the responses to questions received from prospective vendors and to extend the solicitation date by 24hrs. Question: 1.As the bid is due next Wednesday the 17th we need to review the site conditions ASAP, whom will be our contact to schedule a site visit? Response: Dwayne Stephens is the POC for the site visit. Contact info is as follows: Phone: 859-233-5411 x3367 Email: dwayne.stephens@va.gov Question: 2.Questions are due NLT tomorrow the 12th, if we have more questions following the site visit, assuming it can be granted in the next day and a half, to whom do we send those questions to? Response: Questions are to be addressed directly to me via email at: kevin.cochran2@va.gov Question: Will a complete building potable water system disinfectant flush be required in each building as each buildings water is shut down and re-energized? Response: No, a flush is not required. Question: If the buildings potable water disinfectant flush is required, we need to know each buildings approximate potable water usage or capacity. Response: No flush required. Question: If the buildings flush is requires, will the VA supply personnell to assist in sampling to ascertain the correct level of chlorine is reached for disinfecting, and will they again be available after the, typical, 4 hour disinfecting "lay" period to flush all elevated levels of chlorine from the system?.Response: No VA assistance needed as a chemical flush is not required. Please note: Although not identified in the Statement of Work it is important to note that the requesting service asks that all fittings be "bolt-up type flanges" and not "compression fittings". This solicitation has been extended by 24hrs closing on 08/18/2016 at 12pm CDT, a change from the original closing date of 08/17/2016 12pm CDT. All other solicitation terms and conditions remain unchanged.
