Description

Intent to Sole Source: Medtronic, Inc. Special Notice Number N0025916N0193 THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Naval Medical Center San Diego anticipates making a sole source award under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Medtronic, Inc. 710 Medtronic Parkway Minneapolis, MN 55440-5603 The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can only be satisfied by supplies available from one source. The objective of this sole source award is to procure eight (8) InterStim IPG II sacral neurostimulator devices (Item # 3058), and associated equipment to include: ten (10) tined lead kits (incl. perc. ext. & OR cable) (Item # 3889-28), ten (10)lead introducer kits (Item # 3550-18), eight (8) verify external ENS (Item # 3531), eight (8) test stim cables (Item # 3575-01),eight (8) 25cm twist lock cables (Item # 3576-25), eight (8) antennae (Item # 37092), and eight (8) patient programmers (Item # 3037) for Naval Medical Center, San Diego. This equipment is created and manufactured by Medtronic, Inc. It is proprietary equipment. Medtronic, Inc. is the only known vendor that can provide the above described equipment. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 2:00 PM Pacific Time on 19 August 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Margaret Babbitt at Margaret.h.babbitt.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, "Special Notice Number-N0025916N0193" A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
