Description
This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine interest and capability of potential Small Businesses, including Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB), relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing). The Automated Technologies, Inc. FastPak Elite 260 Narrow is known to meet the Government's needs. The Government is requesting that responsible sources respond if it can provide similar Medication and Supply Packaging and Dispensing Equipment systems with the following specifications: "Must be able to interface with pharmacy computer system (server to be rack-mountable, if necessary) "Must contain at least 260 canisters and weigh between 1200 and 1300 lbs "To accommodate for space constraints, dimensions to range within: oFive inches of 35.1" for the Width oThree inches of 36.7" for the Depth oOne inch of 78.7" for the Height "Must have "smart" canisters, capable of being moved anywhere in the machine and still function appropriately "Must have a speed of at least 65 pouches per minute "May have the ability to order a canister that can cut tablets in half "Must include barcode label printer, capable of printing 1D barcodes and 2D barcodes and graphics, to allow for easily swapping manufacturers in canisters "Must contain a detachable tablet adapter capable of unit dose packaging oral, solid medication not stored in a canister; must contain at least 63 cells to allow for timely bulk packaging of these medications In addition, the Contractor must be capable of installing the equipment and provide onsite training located in Iron Mountain, MI. Interested Small Businesses, including VOSBs and SDVOSBs, are required to submit an e-mail delineating: "Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product "Business size "Socioeconomic status; and "If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339112 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Jim Hedman at james.hedman2@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 12:00 pm Central Standard Time on Tuesday, August 16th, 2016.
