- 2016-R-027 Senator Curator Mirror Frame and Cornice Conservation RFP Attachments 2016-R-027 Senate Curator Mirror Frame and Cornice Conservation RFP The United States Senate Office of the Curator requires a qualified conservator to restore a monumental gilded mirror frame and two matching window cornices. The Contractor will provide testing, conservation, and documentation services addressing the structural, gesso, ornament, and finish problems identified in a 2004/05 condition assessment and a 2015 investigation of original gilding patterns, as well as any subsequent conditions observed during an optional on-site visit and those discovered during the treatment. REQUIREMENTS: The attached Solicitation, 2016-R-027 Senate Curator Mirror Frame and Cornice Conservation (Solicitation), contains the complete description of the requirements, specifications, attachments, and the terms and conditions under which the Contractor shall perform. QUESTIONS: Questions about the Solicitation shall be submitted via email to acquisitions@saa.senate.gov, to the attention of Connie Kemper, no later than Noon EDT on August 22, 2016. The Solicitation number shall be referenced in the subject line of the email. Each question shall reference the section of the Solicitation from which it derives. Responses to all submitted questions will be posted as an amendment to this Notice on August 26, 2016. It is the responsibility of all Offerors to monitor this site for the SAA's posting in response to submitted questions. The SAA will not respond to questions submitted after the posted deadline or to any telephone requests for information. Oral communications are not accepted in response to this Notice. (See Solicitation § L.2 Submission of Questions) DATE AND TIME OF CLOSING: The complete proposal must be received via email to acquisitions@saa.senate.gov, to the attention of Connie Kemper, by Noon EDT on September 12, 2016. See Solicitation § L.3 Date and Time of Closing ) AWARD INFORMATION: The Senate anticipates making a contract award by early October 2016. The Senate is not responsible for any costs incurred by the Offeror in the preparation of a response to this Solicitation. Access by the Senate to the submitted proposal and any attached files is the responsibility of the submitting party. The Senate is not responsible for any failure to access Offeror submitted information.
