Description

The United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Region 5, intends to award a firm-fixed price, sole source contract to Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems, Inc., 2395 Apopka Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703 to replace pumps and chillers that were lost in the recent flood. FWS intends to award this requirement as a sole source to Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems Inc. since the equipment needed is of urgent and compelling nature to safeguard the aquatic organism's life does not allow time for competition to be sought. Awarding to another source would result in unacceptable delays during the time required to issue a new competitive contract. The NAICS code is 333999, All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation and technical capabilities, which, if received within seven (7) calendar days of publication of this notice, shall be considered by FWS. All responses must be submitted by email to Justine Pasiecnik at Justine_pasiecnik@fws.gov. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
