Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, firm-fixed price construction contract for project 573-15-102, 'Renovate 3A and 3B for Gastroenterology and Pulmonary Clinic'. Project calls for the complete renovation of two existing patient wards, 3A and 3B, into a new Gastroenterology and Pulmonary Clinic, located on the third floor of Building No. 1. Requirements include provisions for 21 prep/recovery beds and eight procedure rooms. Asbestos abatement is required. Project location is the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL. In accordance with VAAR 836.204 (Disclosure of Construction Projects), the construction magnitude is $2 MIL to $5 MIL. Project is set aside for certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). All respondents are to be certified and verifiable SDVOSB firms at the time of proposal submission. The applicable NAICS is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building). Further details regarding this project, to include the preproposal site visit and proposal due date will be included in the solicitation.
