- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334510. The Iron Mountain VA Medical Center has a specific need for an Integrated Therapy System - Electronic Visuo-motor Training. This system is designed to simulate, evaluate and improve individuals' abilities who struggle with traumatic brain injuries, movement disorders, and balance. Motor reaction and planning, repetitive task practice, hand-eye coordination, enhancing upper extremity activities, and improving physical and cognitive capacities are primary clinical features. Vendor to supply a therapy system to the following specifications: "Ensure the equipment is shipped including all parts and assembly instructions "Interactive touch screen display (48", 55" or 65") must simulate real life situations and activities of daily living underlying prerequisite skills. "A portable stand "A non-VA Network Computer, Intel PC Tower equipped with an appropriate software package, offering at minimum seven main therapy categories and a total of not less than16 different programs including but not limited to: oEye Hand Procedures oRotator Procedures oRapid Eye Movement Procedures oMemory Recall Procedure oMetronome oLetter Chart Programs oVisual Motor Programs "Therapy uses include but are not limited to: oPost TBI/ABI cognitive training and memory/processing oVestibular training oBalance training during pre-gait stepping, reaching towards targets while on multiple surfaces oMotor reaction and planning, repetitive task practice oHand-object-eye coordination activities oEnhance upper extremity activities oEndurance training in the physical and cognitive capacities oIncrease awareness of steps / curbs / flooring in elderly patients oImprove performance in overhead sport athletes oIncrease speed and reaction performances within sports applications This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334510 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on Monday, August 8, 2016.
