Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The purpose of this RFI is to obtain market information and capabilities for planning purposes and to determine appropriate strategies to meet the Agency's requirements. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ) or a commitment for an RFP/ RFQ in the future. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), Exchanges with Industry before Receipt of Proposals, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to the Sources Sought Notice. Information received from this Sources Sought Notice may be utilized in preparing potential solicitation documentation. It is the contractor's responsibility to identify proprietary information in response to this notice. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources, specifically SDVOSB's and VOSB's and their size classification. NAICS Code 238220 applies. The Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) requires a qualified contractor to perform maintenance & service of the existing Building Automation System (BAS) for the entire Tucson campus. The main BAS controls the operations of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system throughout the SAVAHCS campus. It senses air flows and temperatures and controls the operations of the chillers, fans, pumps, louvers and other HVAC components in response to preset instructions and parameters. It also monitors some potable water systems as well as the parking lot lighting and generator systems. A separate, smaller BAS accomplishes a similar and more limited function for buildings 80 and 90. The current BAS used at SAVAHCS is Metasys, except for Buildings 80 and 90 which are on the Allerton BAS. Potential contractors shall provide the capabilities to secure materials and the qualified technical labor that is required for the successful maintenance and service of the existing BAS systems at the SAVAHCS campus. SAVAHCS is located at 3601 S 6th Ave, Tucson AZ 85723. It is requested that contractor submit their capabilities responses to this sources sought notice. Contractor responses must include the following information: 1) Company name 2) Address 3) Contact person name 4) Contact phone number 5) Email address 6) DUNS number and cage code (Must be SAM registered) 7) Socio-economic status (i.e. 8a, Hubzone, SDVOSB, VOSB, etc.) 8) Comprehensive/detailed description of company's capabilities, to include origin of supplies proposed to be furnished, copies of all licenses/accreditations, and a list of sites providing similar supplies/services (please provide point of contact for customer) Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should be emailed to abdalia.smith@va.gov. Responses must be received no later than 4:00 pm on 8/11/2016. No solicitation document is available at this time. This notice is simply for Market Research Purposes only.
