- List of Materials Solicitation Page 1 of 4 NOTICE OF PROPOSED TASK ORDER REQUEST FOR QUOTE W912L7-16-Q-1205 DATE: 1 AUG 2016 TO: TASK ORDER CONTRACTORS 118TH AW 240 KNAPP BLVD. NASHVILLE, TN Panduit Color Coded and Keyed MTO Fiber Optic System and associated items ORDER SUMMARY: TNANG-NASHVILLE,TN. FIBER OPTIC CABLE SYSTEM : SECTION 1 - PROVIDE MATERIAL FOR INSTALLING SYSTEMS FIBER OPTIC CABLE. 1.1 Summary of work This RFQ is for the contractor to provide and deliver the list of Brand Name materials in accordance with attached list of materials. This is a supply buy only, no installation is required. All items must be compatible and be able to connect to Panduit's Keyed Color Coded connectors, fiber boxes, adapters, patch panels, and zone boxes. 1 complete system from 1 vendor is required to maintain existing Panduit infrastructure and warranties. 1.1 DELIVERY 30 DAYS AFTER DELIVERY OF CONTRACT. 1.2 DEFINITIONS A. The Contract Documents for this project, may consist of Plans, Specifications, Addendum's, Approved Change Orders, and the Contract together with its attachments. B. Code or codes, where referred to in these specifications, shall mean all laws, ordinances, and codes by Local, County, State and Federal Government. C. General Contractor shall mean the Contractor responsible for the total work and completion of the project. Page 2 of 4 D. Contracting Officer shall mean the Contracting Officer or his representative. E. Supplier shall mean one who is supplying material or equipment for the project. F. Gender: In most cases parties are referred to in the masculine sense, i.e., he, him, his. In all cases this may be feminine, i.e., she, her, hers. 1.3 MEANING AND INTENT A. The Contract Documents are to be taken as a unified document. Items shown on one drawing and not another, are as binding as if shown in both places. Items shown in specifications but not on drawings, or visa versa, are as binding as if shown in both places. It is the Contractor's responsibility to review and search the complete Contract Documents for items to be done and if conflict or clarification is needed, to request it from the Contracting Officer. No increase in contract amount will be allowed for conflict or clarification of items, which are shown in one place only. B. The drawings and specifications show the extent and locations of work to be performed under the contract. However, the Contractor shall be responsible for all critical dimensions, elevations, grades, and other miscellaneous items. He shall field verify all such items before doing any work. C. The contractor shall be responsible for all miscellaneous work or material items that are required to complete the Statement of Work or tasking listed in the Contract Documents. No increase in contract amount will be allowed for these miscellaneous items. When the project is complete all material installations shall be complete and usable per construction standards and manufacturers recommendations. D. Codes or codes, where referred to in these specifications, shall mean all laws, ordinances, and codes by Local, County, State and Federal Government. PART 2 Products 2.1 TNANG STANDARD ITEMS The TNANG has certain standard items that relate to infrastructure upgrade, which the contractor must adhere to. A list of those items will be provided with the Documents. The list contains items that have been approved based upon quality and/or performance. Specific items are "Brand Name" and must be utilized without variation these items have an astriek * annotated on the List of Materials. The remaining items are "or Equal" items. These "or Equal" items serve as the minimum standard for quality/performance and variations may be submitted. Failure to adhere to the attached parts list causes a financial burden on the TNANG in time lost for upgrades and repairs and also the higher cost and limited area for stocking different vendors materials for repair parts.
