- Description
- Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Code 410B Procurement intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with KLB Enterprises to accomplish Trouble Shoot Boat Davit, install Software load and conduct an operational test of the Boat Davit to Model FAO 10.5A Weather Deck (02-73-10-WEA) on the USS BOXER (LHD-4). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336611, and the business size standard is 1,250 employees. The Government identified KLB Enterprises as a contractor that Welin Lambie (original equipment manufacturer) has strategically partnered with in the past on a number of Coast Guard contracts for similar boat davit repairs. KLB is in a position to support the Government's requirement utilizing Welin Lambie. The services of Welin Lambie are urgently required to Trouble Shoot Boat Davit, install Software load and conduct an operational test of the Boat Davit: Inspect and submit Report. Based on the market research, it is determined that they are the only source available and no other vendor can fulfill this requirement. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating a vendor's bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Responses must include company name, address, telephone and facsimile numbers of the requester, e-mail address, Cage code and business size. All responses should be delivered via e-mail to michael.e.nwagbuo@navy.mil, no later than 1400 PST 11 AUG 2016. Responses delivered by other than e-mail will not be accepted. Certifications in the System for Award Management must be current and active to be eligible for contract award.
