It is also an excellent tool for diagnosing ear, maxillary sinus, and respiratory tract diseases. Planmeca ProMax 3D Mid provides volumes sizes for every clinical application with the possibility to adjust the volume position according to acquired scout images JUSTIFICATION: Urgent purchase approved by PENTAD member. a.The dental service needs this equipment to accommodate 10 additional rooms for the new building projected to open December 31, 2016. b.The ProMax 3D Mid allows the clinician to use the least amount of radiation to achieve the best results safely. c.Planmeca's SCARA (Selectively Compliant Articulated Robotic Arm) technology is built into each ProMax for flexibility and versatility, allowing optimal movement to access virtually all angles for patients who sit or stand. d.This comprehensive dental imaging system can take an image of a single tooth or a full maxillofacial reconstruction, as well as the ear, sinus cavity and part of the respiratory tract used for sleep apnea diagnosis. e.We currently use the ProMax which is not 3D. The upgrade will allow the VA ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) department the image necessary to meet their consult needs for dental care services. It also allows ENT the ability to utilize this machine independently when necessary. BIO-MED: "VA will own this equipment. Electrical Requirements: (See attached user manual) oLine Voltage: 100-220V o2 user replaceable fuses: 100-220V oWeight: 300lbs "Installation will be required by Bio-Med? oBio-Med will be present during installation "Who performs servicing on this machine? oThere are limited warranties included; this would be sent to Bio-Med for any repairs. oTraining is available during installation PHI/ISO: "Does it have the ability to enter or save PHI? oPlanmeca ProMax 3D MID is a 3D panoramic x-ray machine. It is an x-ray emitting device only. It does not store or capture an EPHI data. oPlanmeca 3D with Romexis is able to transmit or maintain ePHI such as demographics, diagnostic, and text entered by device user. It can store and import/export ePHI. "Technical Safeguards for Planmeca 3D with Romexis "Device supports user/operator specific ID and password "Does it the ability to connect to the VA Network? oNot directly but it able to transmit to MiPAC software which sends the image to VISTA imaging. oPlanmeca (vendor) will install equipment and ensure program is transmitting correctly with the assistance of VA employee Laurence Ambrose, DDS, Periodontal Supervisor. Planmeca is on the National BAA list. "Contracting Officials will have access to VA System or VA sensitive information. oPlanmeca with ProSensor connect to the network via IP Address. ProSensor does not store ePHI. "The C&A requirements do not apply, and therefore a Security Accreditation Package is not required per VA 6. Handbook 6500.6 Appendix A as this acquisition does not require services that involve connection of one or more contractor-owned IT devices (such as a laptop computer or remote connection from a contractor system) to a VA internal trusted (i.e., non-public) network.
