- The Government is seeking potential sources batteries used on the AN/PRQ-7 Combat Survivor/Evader Locator (CSEL) radio. Sources are being sought for the CSEL non-rechargeable battery, BA-5301A/U, NSN 6135-01-568-3234 and / or the CSEL rechargeable battery BB-2001A/U, NSN 6140-01-534-3856. These batteries are required to undergo First Article Testing (including Boeing AN/PRQ-7 Functional Testing) and NAVSEA S9310-AQ-SAF-010 certification. Note: The batteries are described by performance specifications with distribution limited as follows, and will be made available to DoD Contractors during the solicitation. "DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT D: Distribution authorized to the DoD and DoD Contractors only (Administrative or Operational Use) (April 2008). Other requests shall be referred to Electronic Systems Center (ESC), Air Force Material Command, USAF, 50 Griffiss Street, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731-1620 (Code ESC/NI)." Describe the qualifications of your engineering staff, who have experience in the design and production of applications similar in complexity and technology to (name specific equipment). 5. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION; no award will be made as a result of this request. This market survey is for informational purposes only; this is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The intent of this Sources Sought announcement is to determine if responsible sources exist and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action. Interested sources are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey/Sources Sought submissions will be solely at the interested source's expense. This Market Survey does not guarantee a contract by the Government. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to the market survey.
