- Sample Accident Prevention Plan Sample Quality Control Plan Scope of Work, Specifications, Pictures Request for Quote The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for the removal and replacement of three (3) roofs. The work is located at Opekiska Lock and Dam, 1241 Opekiska Road, Fairmont, WV 26554-8612; Morgantown Lock and Dam, 26 Morgantown Lock Road, Morgantown, WV 26501-2329; and Point Marion Lock and Dam, 304 Powerplant Road, Dilliner, PA 15327-9603. The sites of the work may be reached from state and local roads and streets. The general description of the work pertains to the following buildings: 1) Garage/Storage Building (Opekiska) - Remove the existing roofing materials, insulation, vent cover, gravel stop, and downspouts from an approximately 2,290 square foot building and install a new, fully adhered, 60 mil EPDM roofing system, conforming to ASTM D4637/D4637M, with a new fascia system around the perimeter. Roofing system shall have new tapered insulation with R-Value of 20.5 and include the addition of any features to ensure positive drainage to downspouts. New downspouts with through edge scupper and conductor head shall be provided for the four existing locations. New flashing shall be installed on pipe vent protruding from roof surface. New galvanized roof vent cap shall be installed over the existing vent pipe. The existing building roof is approximately 2,290 square feet and consists of a 1.5", 20-gauge metal deck, 2" of rigid insulation, 4-ply built-up roofing system, and extruded aluminum fascia. Each of the four downspouts are approximately 11-ft 6-inches long for a total of approximately 46 linear feet total. 2) Garage/Storage Building (Morgantown) - Remove the existing roofing materials, insulation, vent cover, gravel stop, and downspout from an approximately 1,340 square foot building and install a new, fully adhered, 60 mil EPDM roofing system, conforming to ASTM D4637/D4637M, with a new fascia system around the perimeter. Roofing system shall have new tapered insulation with R-Value of 20.5 and include the addition of any features to ensure positive drainage downspouts. New downspouts with through edge scupper and conductor head shall be provided for the three existing scupper locations. New flashing shall be installed on pipe vent protruding from roof surface. New galvanized roof vent cap shall be installed over the existing vent pipe. The existing building roof is approximately 1,340 square feet and consists of a 1.5", 20-gauge metal deck. Each of the three downspouts are approximately 11-ft 6-inches long for a total of approximately 34 feet 6 inches. 3) Observation Deck Roof (Point Marion) - Remove the existing roofing material and 4 inch vent cover from an approximately 1,025 square foot building and install a new, fluid applied elastomeric, traffic-bearing roof system. The roof coating shall consist of a multilayer troweled-on elastomeric coating system designed for use as a traffic bearing surface. The existing building roof is approximately 1,025 square feet and consists of a concrete deck over an 8 inch precast hollow concrete slab. This procurement will be a Firm Fixed Price, 100% Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238160, Roofing Contractors, and the small business size standard is $15.0M. The period of performance will be 210 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to receiving any federal contract award (visit www.sam.gov to register).
