Description

Solicitation Package The purpose of this project is to provide i nvestigation and structural study of 8 th floor judge and clerk bench at the Nakamura Federal Courthouse, 1010 5 th Avenue Seattle, WA 98104, GSA Building # WA0035ZZ. BACKGROUND: Failure of existing wood veneer finishes is occurring on various benches, desks and millwork within the 8th floor en banc courtroom in the Nakamura Courthouse. The scope of this project is to: •1. Reverse engineer one en banc bench only to the extent necessary to determine the best procedure for removing the bench counter top from the rest of the bench structure. •2. Provide documentation to GSA on how best to remove and replace/refinish the existing en banc judges' benchtops. •3. Reconstruct en banc bench once counter top removal procedures are determined. •4. Provide a cost estimate to include labor, material and equipment to complete the removal and replacement/refinishing of both en banc courtroom benchtops.
