- AFTAC, Small Business Support; This is to notify contractors that I will the attend to Meet the Procurement Representatives on Tuesday, 2 Aug at Florida Tech -Hartley Room, Denius Student Center-2 nd Floor, Country Club Road, Melbourne, FL 32901. There will be small business matchmaking appointments from 1-5pm. If you are interested in doing business with AFTAC and would like to meet with the small business specialist and contracting professionals you can rsvp at http://posey.house.gov/RSVP If you are in the local area and unable to attend on Tuesday; I will hold capabilities briefs on Wed, 3 Aug in the morning. Again if you are interested in doing work at AFTAC or with 25 th AF, please email me for an appointment at chiretta.boclair@us.af.mil. In the subject line: AFTAC industry day. AMIC Det 2-OL, Operating Location Patrick AFB, FL, provide mission contracting support for the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC). In this capacity, AMIC Det 2-OL writes and administers contracts supporting AFTAC's nuclear treaty test ban monitoring mission. Key services include Advisory & Assistance Services for materials technology, treaty monitoring, and information technology support. AMIC Det 2 also supports contracted efforts for multiple laboratories and mobile technical platforms and technical sensors. AMIC Det 2 supports t he 25 th AF. In this capacity AMIC Det 2 supplements the normal logistics system by contracting for supplies, equipment, systems and services that are not prescribed to be obtained through other sources. This includes Engineering & Technical Services; Advisory & Assistance Services; Computer Hardware & Software; Modeling & Simulation Support; Engineering & Installation Support; and Information Technology Requirements. No base operation support is accomplished by either office. The majority of service support contracts issued by both agencies require a Top Secret facility clearance license to handle classified materials, but a clearance is not required to participate in this event.
