Description

Network Contracting Office 12 (NCO 12) is seeking sources to furnish Acute Care Physician Services at the Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin. The Government is seeking two (2) board certified or board eligible physicians with specialties and/or experience in Urgent Care, Internal Medicine or Hospitalist. Physicians' schedules will be integrated with schedules of VA staff physicians and, as such, will provide Urgent Care, Hospitalist and, occasionally, medical officer of the day (MOD) duties. Physicians must be computer literate and familiarity with an automated medical record system is desirable. The anticipated start date will occur upon successful completion of appropriate background investigation, credentialing (VetPro), and privileging. The Government's need date is immediate. The solicitation will be a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Release of the solicitation is anticipated to be August 4, 2016 and due date for offers approximately two (2) weeks after issuance. The period of performance will be a six-month base period with three 6-month option periods. Due to continuity of care for the veterans and the administrative burden on the Government associated with the credentialing and privileging process, companies are encouraged to submit qualified candidates expected to be available for the life of the contract. Candidates possessing prior VA experience will be given preference. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards.
