- Description
- The 470th requires training for Counterintelligence (CI) personnel to operate in the SOUTHCOM AOR. The Personal Security Course will prepare our Cl Agents to operate in an overseas austere environment with special weapons tactics and skills to face active shooters or gang/terrorist hostile situations or kidnapping situations. Objectives: Personal Security Course - A five-day Personal Security Course will teach the CI Agents to identify and neutralize an active shooter while taking cover and returning fire. Furthermore, the course will teach the Cl agents how to handle offensive vehicle movements and dismounting procedures while firing to escape potential aggressors. Task 1, Weapons Training: The contractor shall provide training on the M9 and Sig Sauer P228 pistols. The training at a minimum must cover concealed carry, holstering and upholstering procedures, loading and unloading procedures, proper aim, clearing malfunctions, and walking and running engagement skills. Training must include instruction on skills utilized to engage threats in walking and running scenarios to replicate counter kidnapping and/or active shooter scenarios. Task 2, Active Shooters Training: The contractor shall provide training addressing techniques for actions taken during active shooter situations. Task 3. Driving Skills: The contractor shall provide students with training that prepares them to evade and escape kidnapping attempts during transportation with Sports Utility Vehicles. A. Off road driving: The contractor shall provide instruction and training on proper off road driving and recovery drills. B. Close Quarter Driving: The contractor shall provide instruction that includes backing, ramming, breaking and turning and contact with other vehicles. C. Countering Hostile Pursuit: The contractor shall provide instruction on techniques to evade captors on highway conditions. Offers will be evaluated on price as well as their technical ability to perform the requirements of the contract. Offers will provide a detailed plan on how the requirements will be trained.
