- Description
- The purpose of this announcement is to obtain market research for planning purposes only regarding interested vendors/contractors who are capable of providing Next Generation Large Airtanker (LAT) Services for wildland firefighting in 2016 thru 2019. LAT aircraft use is focused on large fire support or initial attack in moderate to rolling terrain. Use will be highly variable depending on seasonal fire activity. Due to the sporadic occurrence of incident activity, the placement of any orders is not guaranteed. Airtankers that are already on a CWN agreement will not be considered for this new procurement. Contractors may propose existing and to-be-built airtankers that would be available through 2019 that meet all Next Generation LAT requirements.
