- Description
- The US Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service in in Salinas, CA has a requirement to install a new boiler and retrofit Greenhouse 25. The work will cosset of Providing materials and labor to remove the existing boiler and all piping, replace all piping, air and water controls, pump and draft hood with top and all components pertaining with a RBI Spectrum SB400 boiler.. Also retrofit GH 25 by installing (3) new hot water heaters with all new steel piping, digital controls for each zone with (3) HAF fans for air circulation, install all new electrical wiring and a contactor panel to turn on the system pump whenever any zone calls for heat. The USDA-ARS intends on negotiating with Greenhouse Consultation Inc. Salinas Ca. the only known source. Greenhouse Consultation Inc. has a proven track record for successful renovations of greenhouses in the Salinas area to meet our research requirements. Interested firms can submit Capacity statements showing demonstrated capacity to perform greenhouse renovation to meet research requirements. The USDA ARS does not have detailed specifications to follow it will up to Greenhouse Consultation Inc. to provide workmanship, materials and knowledge of greenhouse systems to make our greenhouses function properly.. Local warranty and support will be required for one year after installation. Requirement between $25,000 and $100,000 The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13/6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days (fifteen days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
