- IAP Regional IT Specialist (RITS) Statement of Work Peace Corps IAP Regional Information Technology Specialist (RITS) Commitment Form Peace Corps IAP Regional Information Technology Specialist (RITS) Application Form Required Qualifications/Evaluation Criteria: • Five years' experience as a highly successful Peace Corps Post IT Specialist. • Completion of education or training resulting in a baccalaureate degree, or the host country academic equivalent, in the fields of computer science, information systems management, or equivalent. Related work experience may be substituted for a baccalaureate degree on a case by case basis. • Technical capabilities with GSS configuration. • Ability to communicate clearly and consistently in English - orally and in writing. Spanish competency desired. • Recognized by post, region and ISS team as innovator of process improvement with technology. • Strategic, methodical problem solver with proven diagnostic and problem solving abilities. • Experience working collaboratively face-to-face or at a distance. • Well-organized and disciplined in planning and scheduling workload. • Well regarded by as technically competent by peer IT Specialists. • Demonstrated ability to interact well with all levels of post staff. • Ability to travel regularly - up to one week per month in the region. Qualifications will be evaluated via one or more of the following methods: • Review of submitted paper application materials • Reference checks (formal and informal) • Oral Interview • Written or Oral Test/Examination Additional Candidacy Requirements: In order to be selected, the Country Director at your post (in consultation with the Director of Management and Operations) must agree to do the following: • Provide office space and administrative support for this Regional position in your office. The salary and benefit costs would be covered by OCIO. • Negotiate, award, and administer a 743a PSC with the RITS based on an OCIO technical evaluation and recommendation. Salary will be based on local market rates using the LCP as a guide, with the resulting contract containing the standard 743a PSC Benefits Attachment for your country. • Immediately advertise for and back-fill your post's vacated IT Specialist position.
