Description
The Government is seeking qualified, and experienced sources interested in establishing a Firm-Fixed Priced (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract in the proper disposal and removal of expired fire extinguishers at Yokota Air Base, Japan. The following types of fire extinguishers that need to be disposed of are the following: Pressured Type: Stored Pressured Cartridge operated Type of Extinguisher and Major Ingredients: ABC (Mono-ammonium phosphate 55-75%; Ammonium sulfate, 20-40 %) Class D (>98% Copper) Wet Chemical/Class K (Water <80%, Potassium acetate >20%) Weight: 20 lbs (34 lbs) - 15.42kg 10 lbs (16 lbs) - 7.77kg 5 lbs (8 lbs) - 4.0kg 2.5 lbs (4 lbs) - 2.21 kg Manufacturer: Amerex/Buckeye/General/Kidde/Badger/Japanese made Fire extinguishers containing CO2, PFOS and/or Halon will be exempt from this Contract. The Contractor must be properly licensed by the appropriate local or prefectural authorities for the industrial waste collection, transportation and disposal for sludge, scrap metals, waste plastic and waste alkali/waste acid. Contracting with a licensed transporter that requires the transporter to then subcontract with a licensed disposal facility will be prohibited. Submission of a copy of contract(s) for waste collection, transportation and disposal, and permits issued from local governments is required. Every effort shall be made to use recycling and/or reuse (diversion) measures to reduce the amount of waste generated under the Contract. The Contractor must list waste that will be generated from the contract and how they are treated (recycled/incinerated/landfilled). After the disposal/recycled, waste manifests/recycling reports and the list of wastes shall be submitted. The waste list must show the list of items, the volume of waste recycled, incinerated/landfilled and the waste/recycling methods. If you are interested or capable to provide this service, please furnish the following information: 1. Company name, address, point of contact, voice and fax telephone numbers, and email address. 2. Type of business (i.e. small, small disadvantaged, service -disabled veteran owned small business, large business). 3. Experience and previous contracts. 4. Applicable or required licenses. 5. Request information from industry as to their best practices and/or commercial terms and conditions for establishing Fire Extinguisher Disposal Contracts.
