Description
Limited Sources Justification Under FAR 8.405-6(a(1)(i)(C) this logical follow-on work is permissible because the original delivery order was placed in accordance with FSS procedures. In the interest of economy and efficiency these funds are being utilized to award a new task order as accelerated mission requirements which include services used through AWS have exceeded estimates of the previous modification. This is a new Time & Material task order is a logical follow-on to be awarded to Info Reliance Corporation for the prevention of a lapse in Amazon Web Cloud Services during what could be a critical time of need for OJP's public facing websites. OJP's public facing websites are scheduled to lapse in coverage and it is imperative that there is a continuation of service. OCIO has a requirement to procure AWS Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) public cloud services as a follow-on Task Order for a major unclassified system. Continuation of existing services is required and includes storage, virtual machines, training, and technical support. The Amazon Web Services Public Cloud Environment contains the required and configured security, service delivery, and capabilities necessary to effectively support development, testing, quality assurance, and production needs. These components are mission critical to the OJP IT infrastructure, and it is imperative this service be procured to not create a potential loss of cloud services which would disrupt the agency.
