- Description
- The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) intends to execute a six month sole source extension to the existing Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP) IDIQ Contract Number DTFR53-13-D-00013 with ENSCO, Inc., under the authority of 41 U.S.C. § 253(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302.1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" [48 C.F.R. 6.302-1 (2015)]. The current effort is being recompeted; however, the recompete has experienced delays due to reassessing the overall ATIP program and the long terms goals of the program. Therefore, the Government intends to extend the current contract for six months (September 2016 through February 2017) to allow time for completion of the competitive solicitation and source selection process. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency.
