- Drawings Purchase Description 1.0. DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide to the 402d Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG), Robins Air Force Base, 15 High Intensity Flash Lamps for the existing FlashJet Systems. The contractor shall initiate a production run of 8 lamps and complete 2 of these that shall be sent to Robins AFB for initial acceptance testing in the existing FlashJet systems. The testing shall be determined successful if the lamp does not fail during the testing period. The Government shall have 10 business days to complete the testing. Upon successful testing, the contractor shall complete the remaining 6 lamps of the initial production run. Randomly selected lamps from the initial production run shall be tested for 30 business days during secondary testing, after the lamps pass the secondary testing, the contractor shall complete the balance of 7 lamps. If the flash lamps fail the initial or secondary tests, the contractor shall evaluate the failed lamps, refine the design, complete 2 lamps, and send them to Robins AFB for re-testing. If retesting is successful the remaining lamps in that run shall be completed. The contractor shall provide at least 3 re-design attempts. The government shall have the option to purchase an additional 15 lamps up to one year after the initial 15 lamps have been produced. The design of the high intensity flash lamps are machine specific to Robins AFB existing FlashJet systems and must meet all of the design constraints/configuration in the attached data package (includes data request form, technical description, and various drawings).
