Description

SOURCES SOUGHT This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NACIS 541430. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. DRAFT Statement of Work Description of Services: Contractor shall provide completed mapping of the Medical Center and campus. The mapping shall be compiled by contractor into a Visitor Guide in electronic (ready to print) booklet and PDF form. The Visitor Guide shall include maps, interior floor plans, listings of primary services, and ancillary visitor information, consistent with other VAMCs mapped throughout the country. The interactive map shall include a campus map, floor plans, directions to all key services and departments on campus, and will be delivered via CD-ROM and linked directly to the Houston VA Website. (www.houston.va.gov) in a format that is compatible with but does not reside on VA's website. Sample Link: http://interactive.medmaps.com/site/va_sandiego/ Scope of Services: Contractor shall provide, but is not limited to, the following services to create and provide a digital interactive map, a visitor guide in booklet form and individual PDFs documents for the first three floors. a. Conduct site visit to determine best way finding approach, field verify mapping conditions, and review pre-established handouts and resources b. Create layout, design, and develop a full-color booklet with no less than 8 pages i. Exterior 3-D rendering of hospital campus including parking areas and entrances rendered from aerial photography of the campus ii. Interior floor plans of facilities and floors trafficked by patients depicting, but not limited to, primary destinations (with location text labels) and way finding features such as corridors, elevators, stairwells, vending, restrooms, and telephones iii. Ancillary hospital and visitor information to include visitor hours, campus and MEDVAMC services, smoking and cell phone policies, parking information, and cafeteria and retail shop hours iv. MEDVAMC vicinity or local area map depicting interstate highways, major and secondary thoroughfares, prominent landmarks, and other VA hospitals, clinics, and Veteran Centers v. Contingency plan, pricing, and options for subsequent design modifications to the maps as construction and facilities improvements are made year to year c. Design and development of a digital interactive map and way finding system i. Exterior 3-D rendering of hospital campus including parking areas and entrances rendered from aerial photography of the campus and developed as the base display for the interactive map and included in the final visitor guide booklet. ii. Interactive map shall have full functionality with all popular internet browser software to include current versions of Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera Maintenance Agreement - Required with Interactive Map on the Web/Mobile Maintenance agreement that will allow up to 10 changes to mapping per year and any software updates will be executed immediately. All digital products from the map will reside on a server not associated with the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. All digital products are accessed through the web utilizing Fire Fox, Chrome, Internet Explorer 9 and above or any other HTML5 compatible browser. These products will not access patient data and/or the use of any health information management systems within the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. iii. Option for end-user displaying navigational routes to all key destinations and commonly trafficked areas throughout the campus iv. Option for end-user to print said maps and navigational routes v. Contingency plan, pricing, and options for non-VA hosting of application and subsequent design upgrades as construction and facilities improvements are made year to year Period of Performance: 120 Days from Date of award. All interested contractors shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, DUNS number and business size pursuant to the NAICS code 541430. Contractors shall also provide GSA Schedule (if any) and any partnerships/ agreements they currently have or will have in order to satisfy these requirements. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Darnell.Rias@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses shall be received in writing no later than Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10a.m. CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
