Description

Brand Name Justification and Approval The MBRS Division of the Library of Congress (Library) uses a Spirit Classic Datacine (SDC) to digitize motion picture films from the Library's collections. The machine is used in support of film to digital preservation and access, as well as to supply digital copies of collections materials to authorized customers from outside of the Library. The Library seeks to obtain a used Spirit Classic Datacine, model SDC2000 or SDC2001, to serve as a spare parts machine for the Library's existing Spirit Classic Datacine. The contractor shall supply a functional used Spirit Classic Datacine, model SDC 2000 or 2001 for use as a spare parts machine at the Library of Congress Packard Campus. In accordance with LCFAR 6.305, this pre-solicitation notice shall be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO.gov) prior to requesting quotations and includes a redacted Justification and Approval for Other than Full and Open Competition, including Brand Name Justifications.
