Description
NAICS: 336510 RAILROAD RESTORE CABOOSE -CONSTRUCTION - RESTORE NARROW GAUGE CABOOSE 0577 AT CIMARRON, COLORADO. SYNOPSIS: A Full and Open competitive firm-fixed price request for proposal, pursuant to FAR Part 15, is contemplated. The NAICS code is 336510, Railroad Rolling Stock Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1500 employees. Solicitation Number P16PS01518 has additional detailed statement of work. Potential offeror's will be required to visit the website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management, (see www.SAM.gov) prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE MADE AVAILABLE. All inquiries shall be made in writing by email to Malinda A. Flatray, Contract Specialist at malinda_flatray@nps.gov. The Department of Interior, National Park Service, intends to issue a Full and Open Solicitaion for the Restoration of a Historic Narrow-Gauge Caboose 0577. SOLICITATION will be for providing all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision to restore a historic narrow-gauge caboose 0577. The caboose is to be restored to its circa 1940 appearance, including final painting and stencil application, following basic guidance from Appendix A and B, so that it becomes a showpiece ornament for interpretation. The caboose is currently located in a fenced maintenance yard near the Visitor Center at Cimarron. The yard lies at the end of a paved, but narrow road about 300 yards from U. S. Highway 50. The place of performance will be at the contractor's facility. The period of performance is estimated to be September 1, 2016 to March 1, 2018.
