Description

The U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center (TARDEC) is seeking a Non-developmental commercially available or existing prototype All-terrain vehicle (ATV) capable of transitioning vehicle power from land propulsion to water propulsion (example: wheels/tracks to jet/rotor propulsion device) related to the following eight design specifications. 3.0 Vehicle requirements: The contractor shall provide an ATV with the following specifications: 1: 45 miles per hour (MPH) on land 40 MPH on water 2: Front and rear lighting 3: No more than 2,000 lbs. curb weight 4: Less than six feet wide, less than 12 feet long 5: Payload capacity of 500 lbs. on land and 400 lbs. on water 6: Driver area and separate cargo area 7: Power transition from land to water in no more than 25 seconds 8: Vehicle allows driver and passenger to sit side-by-side with a separate payload area located behind the vehicle
