Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a bridge contract extension, on an other than full and open competition basis, to Antech Systems, Inc., in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 for program management, logistics, engineering planning, business operations, resource planning, Planning Programming Budgeting and Execution analysis, and improvement and technical support services for Ship Maintenance Improvement Program (SMIP). The efforts will include performance of tasks in support of SMIP covering marine engineering, systems engineering and analysis, and information technology services for SEA 04RM, Program Executive Offices, Military Sealift Command, Fleet Maintenance Office, Type Commanders, NAVFAC, Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs) Warfare Centers, and other Government organizations working on the SMIP and SMIP-related matters. This effort will bridge the gap between SMIP efforts, currently being performed under SEAPORT Task Order N00178-06-D-4681-EH01, and the competitive award of the follow on. The contract action will be awarded using other than full and open competition pursuant to 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Antech Systems, Inc. is the only known source capable of providing the required support to the Navy in the time frame required in order to prevent possible disruption and unacceptable delays in mission critical efforts. As the incumbent of the current task order, Antech Systems, Inc. is the only source with the requisite knowledge and expertise to provide uninterrupted comprehensive support for the SMIP program, pending the full and open competition of the future follow-on contract. This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
