Statement of Work 2 June 2016 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. Any information provided by businesses to the Government is strictly voluntary. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested businesses responding to this Sources Sought Notice. Contact with other than 502d Contracting Squadron personnel by potential offerors or their employees regarding this notice is prohibited. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research only. The 344th Training Squadron located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas has an existing need to relocate a KC-135 static aircraft from the Medina Annex to main base Lackland. Contractors shall be required to disassemble, transport, and reassemble the aircraft in accordance with the attached Statement of Work dated 2 June 2016 and shall comply with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, rules, and regulations. The 502d Contracting Squadron anticipates issuing a competitive solicitation for a firm fixed-price contract. The projected period of performance is six (6) months after contract award. The solicitation and subsequent amendments will be publicized through the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at www.fbo.gov. Contractors are solely responsible for monitoring the Internet to download the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Paper copies and/or electronic mail of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments will not be provided under any circumstances. Prospective offerors shall have a current System for Award Management (SAM) registration prior to contract award. Interested businesses should respond to the questions presented within this Sources Sought Notice in order to facilitate the Government's market research efforts. The Government will analyze all responses and determine the business strategy for this acquisition. Any questions relating to this notice must be submitted in writing, via email ONLY and solely to the Points of Contact listed in this notice. The submission should address all questions in the Sources Sought questionnaire below and your firm's ability to perform the requirement.
