- Description
- Draft PWS for Extension The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a sole source fixed-price additional work modification to Crockett Facilities Services, Inc (Crockett). Services are for a not to exceed (NTE) six (6) month extension under Contract W912HQ-11-C-0083, which include facilities and infrastructure sustainment, restoration and modernization, equipment operation, maintenance, repair, and inspection for all 21 tenants at Humphreys Engineer Center (HEC). The period of performance is from 1 Jul 2016 to NTE 1 January 2017. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of this extension of services to the incumbent contractor is to maintain continuity while soliciting and awarding a new contract (estimated to be one base year and two option years). Services must continue to be provided to ensure all tenants at HEC have and maintain an acceptable level of facility support services so their missions do not suffer. The draft PWS for the NTE 6 month extension, including an additional "transition" task in event that a new contractor is awarded the contract under the forthcoming solicitation, is attached. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting officer within 15 days of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USACE will proceed with awarding a fixed price contract to Crockett.
