- This is a notice of intent to sole source. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341 intents to sole source; in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1and 41 USC 3304 (a) (1) for the acquisition of Rosetta Stone Foundations for Public Sector (Gold) Fixed Term License. The CDC intent is to sole source to Rosetta Stone Ltd, 135 W. Market St., Harrisonburg, VA 22801. The North American Industry Classification System code is 511210. The purpose of this procurement is to acquire an online language platform that has robust management tools, the ability to transfer licenses to ensure usage, the ability to set specific languages and monitor progress of all the learners. Specifically, the software must possess the folowing unique features: • Personalized online tutoring with native speakers at any time • Scalable platform • Accesibility on multiple platforms • Dynamic immersion • Scaffolding and • Speech recognition technology This specific software is designed to work with different learning styles, different work schedules and different levels of proficiency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist on or before 5:00 pm EST on June 8, 2016. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All vendors/prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to an award of a federal contract. All questions must be in writing and must be emailed to Lawrence McCoy at gwg8@cdc.gov. Responses received will be considered for future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the CDC will proceed to sole source this requirement to Rosetta Stone Ltd.
