The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17, VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) is seeking information and sources that are capable of providing Clinical Massage Therapy services to support and enhance healthcare delivery services provided meeting the needs of Veterans at specific campuses within the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS). The services needed encompass campuses in Texas at various VA facilities in Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, Bonham and Tyler. The fundamental purpose of utilizing massage services is to provide: (1). a non-pharmacological alternate for pain reduction, (2). another modality to increase mobility, and (3). support other health promotion delivery systems. * THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY FOR TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS ONLY * Contracted massage therapists should be prepared to travel to various VA campuses and provide a series of one-hour massages for a wide range of clinical diagnoses. Qualifications and Technical Proficiency: Massage Therapist/Texas license, ABMP Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals Contractor/Massage therapists with good ethical standing with the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS), Membership with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) with current liability insurance or Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) is preferable, Trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS). Successful Vendor will also be required to complete mandatory VA training (free of charge however will not be able to bill for those training hours) for courses covering Computerized Patient Record Systems (CPRS), Complementary and Alternative Modality (CAM), HIPPA, Security and Safety. Must be a US citizen; Must l be proficient in English; Shall possess physical stamina to perform massage services; Shall have good communication skills; Experience with modalities address to address musculoskeletal pain preferable (I.e. Deep tissue, Myofascial release, Neuromuscular therapy, Trigger point therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, and Position Release). Contractor will also be required to document sessions (I.e., Goals for Session (Subject), Techniques Applied (Object), Comments (Assessment), and Follow-up (Plan) = SOAP. Massage therapists will be expected to go through a background check, fingerprinting procedures and understand HIPPA. Contractor shall be responsible for Patient Safety. Massage sessions will be 50-minutes in length allowing 10 minutes between sessions for patient exit and linen change. Techniques utilized by the massage therapists shall be within the scope of the licensure. Massage therapists will be required to enter progress notes. Services shall be for a one year base period with four one-year pre-priced option periods for renewal. The NAICS code is 621399, Offices of All Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners, with a small business size standard of $7.5 million.
